'Twas the night before Christmas....

and Preston was out like a light without even a shout!! Okay so maybe it's not the best rhyme, but you get the idea.
When I was a little girl my family would read "The Night Before Christmas" and the scriptures about Jesus' birth. My mother gave us, for our first Christmas, our own copy of "The Night Before Christmas." The tradition has continued in my own family. After reading the story and then briefly going over Jesus Christ's birth to Lillian (since she wouldn't sit still for the whole scripture version), she hung her stocking (and daddy's) and we placed a plate with cookies on it and a glass of milk on the fireplace for Santa Claus. This Christmas Eve, I had found this really cool "The Night Before Christmas" book at my school's book fair. I love it. On certain pages when you open the page the picture shifts and changes scenes. It's so cool!! Lillian loved it of course. The kids got to open one package, as predetermined my me. They each got brand new Pajami's, Lillian loves her purple ones with owls on it. As for Preston well, he seems to love them. He didn't complain when we put them on. LOL!! Mommy and Daddy had one too but we let Lillian open it. Inside was the new "The Night Before Christmas" and the Bearenstein Bears meet Sanat Bear. Lillian absolutely loves Bearenstein Bear books, they are one of her favorites. We read both of these stories and then it was off to bed to wait for Santa Claus to come. :)
