Today Preston is 4 weeks old. It is still hard to believe it has been that long, but it has been so much fun too. Today Brandon put him on his tummy for a little "tummy time." Yeah that's my PT husband making sure that our children get all the developmental skills they need. Go figure!! Oh well it's good for him anyway. Plus it wears him out too. :-DSo anyway, while Preston was getting his tummy time, he decided that he didn't want to be on his stomach and rolled over to his back. When Brandon told me that, I was like, okay it was just a fluke. So I told him to but Preston back on his tummy, because I wanted to see if he would do it again. Well he did. So then I sent Brandon for the camera so we could record this new developmental milestone. Of course Preston rolled over again, and this time we have it on camera.I am totally amazed that he would start rolling over so early, but they say every child is different. Way to go my little squeaker!!
Sunday we blessed our little Preston. Brandon had the honor of holding his son and giving him a name that he will be known throughout his life and bestowing him with all the blessings that his our Heavenly Father has for him. It was a beautiful blessing and a wonderful day. We were able to have all the family there as well as a few friends. It was also really nice to be able to have Bishop Avila participate in the circle, since he was released right after. There were also 2 other babies blessed. Katie and Matt Worley and their son Scott and Ali and Rick blessed their son Zachary. It was so wonderful that the 3 of us could have our babies blessed all together. We had all shared in the joys of pregnancy for the past 9 months and to share our son's blessing day is truly a blessing. Especially since it was Rick and Ali's last Sunday in our ward. We will truly miss them but know we will see them often. I had hoped to get a picture with all three of us, but Katie left before we could get one. I will just have to get one with her later. We also didn't get a picture with Josh and Kristen Riessen, but I know they were there!!The 1st picture is of us in front of the Rio Vista bldg. 2nd picture is of my brother Scott and his wife Jen. Next is Dave and Kathryn Miller and their children Annaliese (3) and Sopie (18 months). 4th picture is Ali Thompson and I holding our baby boys, Zachary Roy born Jan. 19th and Preston Isaac born Jan 8th. Aren't they the cutest!! The last picture is Rick and Ali Thompson with us. We left out the kids because we didn't want to try and round up 4 crazy kids. Rick and Ali have 3 other children. Hayden, Hayley, and Eric. As for us Lillian was having way too much fun running around with the other kids (and who could blame her) :-DI am writing who participated in Preston's blessing circle simply for my benefit so I will remember. :) Brandon, Mike Mickelsen, Scott Mickelsen, Ray Case, Jared Case, Jared Gates, Josh Riessen, Matt Worley, Mark Wood, Dave Miller, Bishop Frank Avila.
